A closed appliance approved for more than one type of fuel.
Inset stove
Built into a wall or fireplace opening; sweeping access varies by design.
Gas fire
We do not service gas appliances. Gas work must be handled by a suitably qualified Gas Safe engineer.
Electric fire
An electric appliance creates no combustion gases, though an older chimney may still need separate assessment.
Gas-appliance work is outside our service. Use the official Gas Safe Register to find and check an engineer.
