A little history

Why a chimney sweep?

Seeing a chimney sweep on your wedding day has long been considered a sign of good luck in Britain. One popular story tells of a sweep who saved King George II by calming a frightened horse.

There are several versions of the story, so it’s best understood as folklore. The wedding custom lives on as a friendly visit, a handshake and a photo with the newlyweds.
